Following the Government announcement of a second national lockdown over the weekend, we want to update you on how this has impacted our services.
This lockdown is different to the one in March and we are able to continue many of our services to look after you and your homes. We’re happy to say that we will still be carrying out repairs, ground works and estates maintenance. Our Operatives will continue to wear the correct PPE and follow social distancing measures. We ask that you please wear a face mask when answering the door to our Operatives and follow Government guidance by remaining socially distant to ensure the safety of you, your family and our staff.
We will still be carrying out safety checks of your home – including fire safety and gas and electrical servicing – and we urge you to please continue to let us in to your home to do these checks. These are extremely important (as well as a legal obligation) to ensure your home is a safe place to live in.
If you and/or your family have any symptoms of COVID-19, have had a positive test result or are self-isolating please let us know as soon as possible, even if you are not expecting us to visit. This will help us to take the appropriate precautions if you need us to attend for an emergency.
Even though most of our services will continue, there have been some that we have had to put on hold, and they are…
Mutual exchanges (including those already in the process)
We know that this isn’t ideal, but we have made this decision based on the fact that these do not fit into the Government guidance of essential services and there is a need for customer interaction with each other throughout this process.
Warm home and efficiency visits from Care and Repair
These visits will not be going ahead over the next four weeks as this is not an essential service and to ensure we keep you and your families safe.
These decisions will be in place until the end of lockdown. Please note that even though we are providing services such as repairs now, this may change, or there might be delays, depending on the wellbeing of our staff and contractors. We would like to thank you in advance for your understanding.
