We have been made aware that there is a manufacturing defect in some Ideal boilers which affects less than 10% of our homes.
This defect is in Ideal Logic 2 boilers that were installed between August 2022 and January 2024. There is currently less than 0.1% chance of these boilers failing. However, it is extremely important that these are fixed as soon as possible, and we are working closely with Ideal to resolve this issue.
Those who are affected will be contacted by Ideal boilers in the coming months who will attend their home and refit the defective part. If you are one of these people, it is important that you cooperate with Ideal and let them into your homes once approached. In the meantime, our heating operatives will be checking the boilers when they are on a breakdown or a service visit.
Any Ideal Logic 2 boilers that have been installed since 1 February 2024 are not affected.
